Aleph, the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, means master, teacher, or wondrous. Its sound is silent and its numerical value is one. The Aleph is made up of living leaves which span from below to above and from above to below. Aleph teaches us to be still, in awe of creation, to allow the Divine energy flow through us like leaves dancing. Each leaf on a tree is placed with Divine precision, just as each of us have a precise mission to fulfill in this world. The point is to recognize that we are all a part of something bigger than ourselves, and that is the essence of Oneness.
